First aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life.
This Childcare Provider Training Class is approved by California Emergency Medical Services Authority through EMS Safety.
CPR is Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation given to a person in cardiac arrest to restore blood circulation and breathing, through a series of chest compressions, airway clearing, and breathes.

PEDIATRIC 1ST AID ONLY
This course teaches how to treat a child or infant for poisons, sprains, fractures, bleeding, shock management, burns, seizures, strokes and playground safety.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an emergency procedure that combines chest compression often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person who is in cardiac arrest.
An AED is designed to dramatically increase the chances of survival for victims of cardiac arrest.
PEDIATRIC 1ST AID/CPR/AED FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS
The State of California requires that the initial course of instruction consist of no less than eight hours in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR.
This course meets EMSA requirements for California Child Care workers and teaches:
Class fees are nonrefundable and no refunds will be issued once fees have been submitted. Class materials and supplies such as course manuals and textbooks, and other class supplies are nonrefundable.
To transfer to another class, the fee is $20 and registered participants are required to notify Temp Care Agency Trainers by calling (424) 200-5484 at least 72 hours prior to the class date in order to be eligible to transfer. Transfers will only be granted if space is available in a future class within 60 days of the original class date.
Temp Care Agency Trainers reserves the right to cancel classes as needed. In the event a class is canceled registered participants will be offered a transfer to a different class at no additional charge or a full refund.
Only registered class participants are allowed in the classroom during training.
